Since 2005, health&media has been operating the continuing education portal arztCME – an online learning platform for continuing professional education in the healthcare sector. Since then, our continuing education courses have been used by a constantly growing user community from all medical disciplines.

Digital knowledge transfer and review has become part of everyday medical practice. Today, numerous e-learning offerings in the area of continuing medical education (eCME) help medical professionals more easily fulfill their legal continuing education obligations. Whether it’s webinars or continuing education in text form – professional project management, editorial expertise, a user-friendly design and the best possible transparency form the cornerstones of a modern medical continuing education platform.

The online offering arztCME was comprehensively presented in a textbook published by Springer and serves as an example of a modern continuing medical education portal. In their article, the health&media authors provide an overview of the current use of e-learning in CME continuing education, describe the components, but also the requirements for the implementation of e-learning, the analysis possibilities and venture a look at future developments:
